Things I Watch
Current Favourites.
Castle. My TV darling, it woos me weekly, I could not love it more. I’ve loved it since season one, when it was the little show that could. My, how it has grown. Castle and Beckett. There are no words for how much I love them. And the cast. Everyone in this show is incredible, I love how they interact, I love the unexpected layers in my network TV. Kate Beckett is a perfectly flawed human being and I could not love her more. Secretly though, my favourite is Martha. She swans about with a cocktail in her hand wearing fabulous colours and is accidentally wise. I can only hope to be like her one day.
Downton Abbey. This show is singularly the most perfect creation to ever grace television. I love every character. I feel every storyline. The pacing is flawless. I have never been so immediately charmed. Mary and Matthew hurt my heart. Sybil Crawley is the most darling little feminist. And Violet. Oh Violet. She hates Greek drama, where everything happens off-stage, because she’s marvelous.
Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. I’ve loved both shows for a long time, despite having my criticisms of them and the way certain story lines are handled.
I will always ship Mark with Addison. I empathize with and genuinely like Meredith Grey. Meredith and Cristina’s friendship is heartwarming. I ship Teddy with Henry - they make the happiest out of all the canon ships. Sofia is the luckiest baby in the world; her mothers are gorgeous and her father is the sweetest jerk in all the world.
Honestly, sometimes I hate the way things have unfolded for a lot of characters on both shows. For example, I think Sam’s treatment of Addison on Private Practice is abusive and it’s appalling that it’s gone without comment. But I do still genuinely enjoy watching.

The roaring twenties period dramas that stole my heart. Underbelly Razor. Boardwalk Empire.
The supernatural and space ships. Game of Thrones. Lost Girl. True Blood. The X-files. Buffy. Angel. Firefly.
Hot lady detectives that solve murders. Bones. Rizzoli & Isles. Rookie Blue. Body Of Proof.
The teen dramas that I am somewhat embarrassed to be addicted to but would actually defend in a barfight. Glee. Pretty Little Liars. The Lying Game. Make It Or Break It. Greek. South Of Nowhere.
The half hour sitcoms. How I Met Your Mother. Modern Family. Raising Hope. 30 Rock. Parks And Recreation. Community. Cougar Town. Arrested Development. Seinfeld.
